Actress of Stage and Screen, Susan Penhaligon shares some of her favourite literature from her native Cornwall. Guest appearances from fellow countrymen Dalla (Hilary Coleman vocals, clarinet; Neil Davey bouzouka, mandolin, fiddle, vocals and Bec Applebee vocals, percussion, whistle); will also add Cornish folk music to the mix. Classic favourites from Du Maurier, Le Carre, John Betjeman and Charles Causley will combine with traditional folklore.
Susan Penhaligon is well known for roles in TV classics such as Bouquet of Barbed Wire and A Fine Romance. Her 2008 novel, For The Love of Angel, is set in 1980s Truro.
The programme is jointly compiled and directed by Emma Lucia whose recent credits at Clwyd Theatr Cymru include Educating Rita, God of Carnage and A Doll’s House.
