Africa Entsha are returning to Wrexham at the end of their UK tour to once again perform in concert with their Wales Africa Community Link partners, Wrexham Community Choir.
Africa Entsha is a five piece a cappella group from South African township Soweto, who reached a global audience with their performance at the South African World Cup opening ceremony. Their sound blends western pop elements of the male vocal harmony tradition alongside the soft and exhilarating spirit of traditional South African songs. Since coming to the UK three years ago the group have grown massively in popularity, being nominated for Edinburgh Fringe Best Live Act last year, and this year being awarded a five star review at Brighton Fringe.
Experience the unique style of Africa Entsha for yourself – watch them perform with Wrexham Community Choir in the stunning surroundings of St. Giles’ Parish Church on September 14th.
Africa Entsha will also be leading a singing workshop on the afternoon of the 14th in Erddig Hall’s exhibition room, where participants will get the chance to learn, sing and dance with the group. The workshop is open to everyone, with no prior musical experience required.
