Voicebox is Wrexham’s poetry and spoken word night with the first half of the evening open mic and the second with a special act!
This month we have special guest Jess Green. April 2014 Jess made headlines after publishing online a poetry slam message towards Secretary of State for Education, Michael Groves in a poem titled Dear Mr Groves.
“A lot of the mainstream press make out that teachers are lazy and take long six-week holidays and are selfish but it is not until you go into a classroom you realise how hard it is,” Green told The Independent. “I have been working in schools for the past three years and I come from a family of teachers and I have seen how downtrodden teachers have become.
We look forward to having Jess with us on the 13 April and hope you can all join us.
