Calling all music teachers, choirs, youth groups and individuals who enjoy singing!
Following hot on the heels of the successful ‘Wrexfest’ event in August, Change Wrexham For Our Future are now organising a big community carol singing event to be held in Wrexham Town Centre on Thursday 28th November at 6pm.
The event will now start with a procession from the old Burtons store at the end of Hope Street (opposite 1 to 5) with the Cambria Marching Band, up to Queens Square, where we will sing carols round the Christmas Tree with accompaniment from a brass ensemble.
We are very keen to get as many people as possible involved in this event as there is nothing more uplifting than a large gathering of people all singing together and it is hoped that it will really get everybody into the Christmas spirit.
This is where you come in! We are hoping to get as many local groups involved in the event as possible and would love for you to take part. Carol sheets will be created by us and emailed to you for you to print out and bring along, and all the carols will be popular ones so it shouldn’t take up too much rehearsal time. If you would be interested in taking part, please email me with your contact details on changewrexham@live.co.uk.Let’s all join together and spread the spirit of Christmas around Wrexham town.
Please let me know by Friday 7th November at the latest. Thanks,
Beth – Change Wrexham For Our Future
