This exciting new exhibition featuring Finnish artists, will examine the creative flow between human beings and the natural world. The launch day features contemporary folk music collective 10 Mewn Bws.
Maija Helasvuo’s carved wooden sculptures warmly express the tension that often exists between people, and within our relationship to the natural world, through the living form of the wood she uses.

Mika Karhu’s work is a dark exploration of the human condition, which often finds elements of empathy and humour.

Anne Tompuri’s dramatic, dark landscapes express her emotional response to the severe contrasts that exist in the Finnish lakeland scenery.

Nora Tapper uses domestic materials, wood and ceramics, to make 3 dimensional imagery which references the home and how we live together.
There will also be a small piece from each of the Welsh artists who will are involved with the project; Tom Gilhespy, Amy Sterly, Katie Brute, Angela Davies, James Harper, Ant Dickinson and Marja Bonada
