The purpose of this workshop is twofold. First, to demystify the process of lithography. Second, to provide you with a practical, self-sufficient method for producing a plate lithograph even if you don’t have access to special presses, graining machines and strong acids.
At the end of the two-day workshop you will have produced a monochrome lithograph with an understanding of the chemistry involved, and have learned something about how to progress into colour and other forms of lithographic expression.
Leighton Bohl:
After retiring as a teacher Leighton Bohl studied fine art printmaking at The Manchester School of Art (MMU), graduating in 2011 with a first class honours degree in Print Media. Subsequently, he has taught lithography to students at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN) in association with that university’s Artlab research group while pursuing his own fine art practice in lithography.
He has participated in numerous group exhibitions and completed a residency at UCLAN in 2013.

Leighton Bohl
Wedi ymddeol fel athro, astudiodd Leighton Bohl argraffu celfyddyd gain yn Ysgol Gelf Manceinion (MMU), gan raddio yn 2011 gyda gradd dosbarth cyntaf mewn Cyfryngau Argraffu. Wedi hynny, mae wedi dysgu lithograffeg i fyfyrwyr ym Mhrifysgol Canolbarth Sir Gaerhirfryn (UCLAN) mewn cysylltiad â grŵp ymchwil Artlab y brifysgol honno, gan wneud ei waith celfyddyd gain mewn lithograffeg ar yr un pryd.
Mae wedi bod yn rhan o nifer o arddangosiadau grŵp, a chafodd breswyliad yn UCLAN yn 2013.
