If you are interested in learning how to market your work through a range of marketing activities, this practical one-day course is for you. The aim is to improve your marketing communications with a range of demographics from potential visitors for your open studios, to curators and buyers. By the end of the day, you will obtain the skills and understand the activities required to successfully market your work.

The Workshop Day
The day will be divided into two:
• In the morning session we will focus on ‘Marketing activities for artists’.
• In the afternoon we will determine how to create and action ‘Your marketing plan’.

Workshop Objectives
Through practical activities, presentation and theory, you will cover the following topics:

• How to identify your marketing objectives and targets.
• Understanding market research, strategy and tactics.
• The opportunities available to artists to market themselves by finding and engaging with their audiences.
• Structuring your marketing to make the most of the marketing mix.
• Finding your marketing style – ‘In print, online or in person’.

• Creating a realistic and sustainable marketing plan.
• Tools that can help you.
• Monitoring and measuring your marketing efforts.

By the end of the workshop, you will better understand how to market your work, and know how to target your effort, understand the marketing mix, create a plan and get a return.

Tea, coffee will be served on arrival. There is a café on-site from which you can purchase your lunch.
