Our series of Focus on Printmaking Workshops offer a valuable opportunity to discover new processes and develop a sophisticated understanding of printmaking. They are designed to meet the requirements of people with a keen interest in the subject and cater for varying levels of experience.
Each 5 or 6 week workshop aims to give participants knowledge and understanding of a particular process (for example Linocut, Collagraph, Drypoint, Etching or Screenprint) and an opportunity to produce work that shows a creative response to that printmaking technique. You will be taught by one of the Regional Print Centre’s Print Facilitators who have a wealth of printmaking knowledge and understanding.
All materials and equipment will be provided and participants are encouraged to explore their own subject and creative influences throughout the 6 week workshop.
Participants can move on to use the open access printmaking facilities available through the Centre to further develop their work. They can also progress to our specialist Visiting Artists Workshops which take place regularly throughout the year. For more information please visit: www.regionalprintcentre.co.uk
We will also be running a series of two day workshops with guest printmakers throughout July and August, as well as another series of evening workshops from September 2016 onwards.
The Regional Print Centre has successfully received Arts Council of Wales funding to run a Training & Development programme for Artists in 2016-17. Therefore our workshops are aimed at those who want to develop their artistic practice through the medium of printmaking and participants must be 18 or above in age.
