Dyma arddangosfa unigol fawr gan yr artist profiadol yma o Ogledd Ddwyrain Cymru. Gan weithio’n reddfol, mae Sara-Jane Harper yn defnyddio ei geirfa ei hun o farciau, arwyddion a symbolau sydd wedi cael eu datblygu dros nifer o flynyddoedd. Mae’r ffurf fenywaidd yn amlwg iawn yn ei gwaith. Bydd y sioe hon yn cynnwys paentiadau a darluniau o’r gorffennol a’r presennol. Mae ganddi ddull o weithio sy’n cynnwys trin deunyddiau a delweddau – crafu, sgraffinio, rhwygo a rhwbio – gan greu haenau i greu delweddau. Fel rhan o’i phroses, mae’n dychwelyd yn aml at waith o’r gorffennol i gofio, myfyrio ac ailddyfeisio. ! !

This is a large solo exhibition by this long-established artist from North East Wales. Working intuitively Sara-Jane Harper uses her own vocabulary of marks, signs and symbols, which have been developed over many years – the female form is dominant in her work. This show will include past and current paintings and drawings. She has a way of working that involves manipulation of materials and images – scratching, scraping, ripping and rubbing – creating layers out of which images emerge. As part of her process she often returns to past work to remember, reflect and reinvent.”
