Wrexham Symphony Orchestra in the William Aston Hall. Continuing its biggest ever project of playing all Mahler’s symphonies WSO perform his third, one of the biggest and most expansive. Conductor Kenneth Woods, who in the last year has recorded with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, returns to the orchestra, along with the choirs of The Queens’s school and Lleisiau Clywedog. 24th November.
And if that tickles your fancy, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales plays there on December 2nd.

ROPE continues to host excellent bands at Central Station. On 26th November Danish punks Iceage bring the noise.

Cygnini returns to the Royal Oak on November 29. The line-up has not been announced yet but it doesn’t matter as the calibre of music is always terrific.

Head of Printmaking at Aberystwyth University, Paul Croft, will deliver a presentation inspired by his article for Printmaking Today on December 1st. The event is in conjunction with Past, Present, Future – the exhibition currently running in Oriel Wrecsam, celebrating its tenth anniversary and featuring prints by artists who have been involved in the Print Centres development. If you feel inspired to make some prints you can do so during the open access courses they provide every Monday and Tuesday.

Drum With Our Hands is a Wrexham based record label with a hugely diverse and interesting roster of artists. Your chance to catch a showcase of these singers, songwriters, poets and artists is beneath the tower of St Giles Church on December 7th

Central Station’s annual bash returns on December 23rd with a massive line-up and the very best of local live music. The Kick Off, over three stages, including a ROPE stage that will be headlined by the hotly tipped Deaf Club. Also slated to appear are Bring The Soul, The Revolutionary Spirit, Mowbird, Baby Brave and the Love Bites, The Uninvited, Doppelganger, Orient Machine and more.
