Using audio transcriptions from educational instruction archives, DATAMOSH together with actor Ally Goodman create a rhizomatic pedagogical landscape through live vocals, analogue image and sonic distortion.
Ally Goodman has 10 years of acting experience from leading roles in productions at established theaters to short films and supporting roles in several British features. His most recent work includes a starring role in Series 3 of cult web hit ‘Twisted Showcase’ and the first ever production of ‘Bothered and Bewildered’ at the Forum in Chester (soon to be published by Samuel French). He is currently starring in the UK tour of Abandoned Theatre Co’s production of ‘WINONA’ – the new play by Welsh playwright, Christopher T. Harris.
DATAMOSH is a collaboration between Paul R Jones and Guy Mayman incorporating montage, performance and sound to engage again with these virtually forgotten artefacts of the recent past, using them as raw material to fashion new narratives and render information committed to slide and tape with the intention of imparting factual information into something fluid, mysterious and sublime.
