Just recieved news of an art exhibition at Regent Street Methodist Church.
Students from Glyndwr University’s School of Art and Design have curated an exhibition of their own work around the theme of Easter, and it is on display in the new Art Space at the Methodist Church on Regent Street.
The Minister, Rev Richard Sharples, is excited:
“I have a vision for a growing interaction between the Arts and the Church. I was overwhelmed with the quality of the work which the students have displayed.”
In addition the students have created a photographic display which appears on the large public video screen within the newly developed tower which gives access to the Church at first floor level. The exhibition runs until April 8th, and can be visited whenever the Church is open (most days) although much of it can be seen when the Church is closed. They are already planning a second exhibition for May around themes of Justice, in association with Christian Aid Week that month.
Go take a peek!
